Arizona Lottery's 2by2 Game - Info, Odds, and Payouts

Arizona Lottery has a cool little daily game called 2by2. It doesn't offer the biggest jackpots, but it is definitely a good alternative to some of the other games, like Powerball and Pick 5, which are much harder to win. Probably the biggest draw of the game is that you can play it every day, so dedicated lottery players can get their fix. Read on for some more info about the game, as well as odds and payouts.

The 2by2 jackpot is $20,000. To win the jackpot, players must match four numbers in total. They must choose two red numbers, between 1 and 26, and two white numbers, between 1 and 26 as well. The $20,000 jackpot is won if all of the numbers match. The odds of matching all of the numbers are approximately 1-in-105,000.

Of course, there are payouts other than just the jackpot prize. Matching any three numbers would win you $200 and the odds of doing that are approximately 1-in-2,200. There are other, smaller, prizes available to be won as well.

Now, $20,000 is not much of a jackpot compared to, say, Powerball, which often has jackpots that reach into the hundreds of millions of dollars. But, like I said, the draw of the 2by2 lotto game has nothing to do with the size of the jackpots. Rather, it is a good game because it's available daily and offers a more reasonable chance of winning. For example, if you were to buy just one Powerball ticket and just one 2by2 ticket, you would be about 1,857 times more likely to win on the 2by2 ticket. That's quite amazing isn't it? And, after all, it's better to win something rather than nothing and $20,000 is not too bad.
