As I think most of gamers who play in shareware games know game called Zuma Deluxe. This game was extremly popular some time ago and still popular now. It's now a classic game!
Long time nobody in game industry try to make a game with Zuma gameplay. It was a fear of fail - as someone can know big portals like RealArcade or Shockwave.com don't take for publishing game clones.
But in last time we see a lot of games what takes a Zuma gameplay idea plus some interesting own ideas. Let's look at whis games.
First game will be Luxor.
Main idea is the same, but here one deferent feature - you blast a colored spheres from the bottom line. Game use ancient Egipt styling with pyramids and Pharaoh, you explore the path of the Nile. The game very popular right now.
Next game we will look at is TumbleBugs.
IMHO this game have one of best graphic work (also as last game) and use very interesting design - you need to save your beetle buddies from the Black Bug Empire. According to game info "In a deep dark lair, in Any Backyard USA, creep the Evil Black Bugs. You, the hero "Tumble", hold the fate of your beetle buddies in your hands. Save the colorful beetles from being enslaved by the Black Bug Empire". It has some unique power ups not presented in other games and has some features to talk about - how about two sources and to plases to shoot from?
Another two games Bubblefish Bob and Aqua POP uses sea adventure design. It first game you need to save small fishy friends. The second game objective not known. As I think this game was created in zuma gameplay with only design changes.
Next game have extremly diferent gameplay but use some ideas from parent game - Twistingo.
Main Zuma idea - colored shperes presented, but gameplay based based on the bingo cards and the numbers on it. It requires you to stay focused and yet still full of situations to think over in every minute. You need to explore the Big Island step by step to find and save the cute animals that need your help.
Last game I want to say named Zzed.
This game was created by developers from Russian Federation and have very interested idea mixed with some zuma elements. It's puzzler-shooter game with a space theme. In Zzed, you are a plot of space garbage truck. The space craft is located in the middle of the screen and can rotate both clockwise or counter clockwise. You can also move the spaceship, albeit in a very small circle. A continuous flow of space junk gravitates toward you (rather fast, sometimes) and you have to destroy it, before it damages the ship. This is the action part. What makes the game tricky (and addictive) is the puzzle part. All garbage is "color-coded". In order to destroy it, you have to get 3 or more pieces of garbage of the same color stuck together (here we have some Zuma ideas). Since you pilot a space garbage truck, not some super-cool X-Wing interceptor, you call only shoot with garbage pieces. Occasionally, as you get bonuses like missiles or bombs, which will allow you to feel yourself like a space commando for 0.17 seconds, but other than that, it's all about waste management.
The storyline of this also very interesting, but I don't want to open all - try by yoursef!
Here we see 7 games in some parts based on Zuma classic game. I try all of them and think what Zuma, Tumblebugs, Twistingo and Zzed is the best and have very much difference to explore. How you think?
Denis Snow. ChocoSnow.com sells Zuma style games at http://www.chocosnow.com/.

Playstation 3 Downloadable Games Review - Lemmings
(>) Start
This is a game review of Lemmings, which I think is one of the best Playstation 3 downloadable games that is currently available through the Playstation 3's online store service.
(X) Reviews
Lemmings : 9/10
My Overview
Lemings is by far the most amusing and mentally challenging title out for the PS3 via online download.
To complete a level in Lemmings, you must lead a certain number of lemmings to a goal given a certain number of 'costumes' that you can put them in. Each 'costume' gives the lemming a particular duty, or power. You can dress them in these to make them become a digger, a roadblock to stop the other lemmings, a climber to scale walls, a bridge builder, and more.
The game is amazingly entertaining, and a great game to play as a group. The online scoreboard also lends a certain degree of competitiveness that adds to the overall impression of the game.
My Complaints
1. Some of the levels are EXTREMELY challenging, this is not a game for your four year old, so don't expect a lot of gameplay for the younger gamers in the family.
2. On my particular brand of 1080i LCD television (Westinghouse 37"), I have to adjust the screen width every time I start the game, it cuts off maybe five percent of the screen on both the left and right, which is not much, but you really need to see the whole screen for this game. Watch out for this, this is the only PS3 title that I've had a problem with. You can adjust this from the game's menu easily.
My Tip
Use the 'zoom' and the 'speed up' feature (both are controller buttons) to be more accurate and to speed up gameplay. Also, just restart the level if you fail, and you will, it's actually full of many amusing death animations. (Poor lil' guys!)
My Rating
9/10

Wii Game - Gift Ideas For Everyone on Your List
A Wii game gift is one of the hottest items this season - and for good reason. If anyone has mastered the art of family entertainment, it's Nintendo. Since the inception of its Wii gaming platform, the company has enjoyed rave reviews, and is currently the best selling gaming system on the market.
Part of Wii's appeal is due to several distinct features of the system, like the infamous wireless remote, and its ability to connect, and upgrade from the Internet while on standby mode. It's main appeal, however, is that it brings family and friends together, of all ages, and allows them to join in the excitement and fun that Wii delivers.
Almost all Wii games are designed so that anyone, no matter what their experience level, can jump right into the action and start playing immediately. The Wii remote is designed the same way. It was created as a multi functional device. While it features buttons, it's mainly controlled through physical actions.
When playing tennis, for instance, players swing the remote to hit the ball. If boxing, users must punch and jab with the device. The innovative design creates a whole new level of interactive play, and users of all experience level are quickly hooked.
Wii has capitalized on the realistic play the system provides, and created an extensive line of games which are well suited to the interactive environment. No matter who you need to shop for, there is a Wii game gift that suits every different type of personality and lets everyone join in the fun.
Here are a few ideas for those on your list:
For the sports enthusiast: Wii Sports Resort is a sequel to the popular Wii sports game. It has enjoyed massive success since its release and for good reason - it offers a great line up of fun games set in a tropical island paradise. What's not to love? As with most Wii games, you use the interactive remote to literally swing into action. You can compete against friends and family in games like Power Cruising, Sword Play, or Golfing.
The game comes with a new Wii MotionPlus accessory, which attaches to the remote and makes the play even more realistic. The best part about the game, however, is that it really appeals to everyone. Senior citizens, Gen X'er's and 8 year old players all find the game challenging and enjoyable.
For the fitness lover (or couch potato who wants to get it shape): EA Sports Active is like having a personal trainer in your living room. The popular Wii game makes fitness fun and segments your workout in 20 minute circuits of familiar activities that target different parts of your body.
The virtual trainer helps motivate you and guides you through the workouts. There is even a 30 day challenge custom made for you, which changes as you progress. It tracks your progress, the intensity of your workouts and the amount of calories you burn.
This is a great gift for sports enthusiasts and couch potatoes because it makes fitness fun for everyone. The easy to maintain regimen (designed in part by Oprah's personal trainer) keeps players engaged and focused on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
For the adrenaline junkie: Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel offers an exhilarating ride and the Wii wheel makes sure you feel every bump and turn in the road. This popular game is one of Wii's best sellers and makes for a great family style arcade game. Featuring lots of different race tracks, colorful graphics and realistic, immersive play, the game is a hit for kids and adults alike.
This is just a small sample of the Wii game gifts ideas available but it's a good start. One of the really nice things about the Wii games is that no matter what your personality or preference, when you start playing any of the games, you quickly get sucked into the fun. A Wii game gift therefore doesn't have to really be suited for any one type of person - it truly is entertainment the whole family can enjoy - and it makes gift shopping very easy!
Check out Wii Gifts for Christmas and gifts all year around. They are a great addition to any home. It encourages family friendly activities that revolve around getting, and staying, active. Check out the new wii games info here.

Arizona Lottery's 2by2 Game - Info, Odds, and Payouts
Arizona Lottery has a cool little daily game called 2by2. It doesn't offer the biggest jackpots, but it is definitely a good alternative to some of the other games, like Powerball and Pick 5, which are much harder to win. Probably the biggest draw of the game is that you can play it every day, so dedicated lottery players can get their fix. Read on for some more info about the game, as well as odds and payouts.
The 2by2 jackpot is $20,000. To win the jackpot, players must match four numbers in total. They must choose two red numbers, between 1 and 26, and two white numbers, between 1 and 26 as well. The $20,000 jackpot is won if all of the numbers match. The odds of matching all of the numbers are approximately 1-in-105,000.
Of course, there are payouts other than just the jackpot prize. Matching any three numbers would win you $200 and the odds of doing that are approximately 1-in-2,200. There are other, smaller, prizes available to be won as well.
Now, $20,000 is not much of a jackpot compared to, say, Powerball, which often has jackpots that reach into the hundreds of millions of dollars. But, like I said, the draw of the 2by2 lotto game has nothing to do with the size of the jackpots. Rather, it is a good game because it's available daily and offers a more reasonable chance of winning. For example, if you were to buy just one Powerball ticket and just one 2by2 ticket, you would be about 1,857 times more likely to win on the 2by2 ticket. That's quite amazing isn't it? And, after all, it's better to win something rather than nothing and $20,000 is not too bad.
Tino writes a blog about lotto winners stories. It includes stories about people that have won big jackpots in games such as Lotto 6/49, Mega Millions, and EuroMillions.

Icy Dragon Scales - Patch 3.1
Just My Two Copper is a world of warcraft economic blog dedicated to providing you with the best wotlk gold guides, auction house strategies, and farming spots.
Here is an example article written prior to patch 3.1:
"Icy Dragonscales are the dream shards of patch 3.1.
Long time readers of this guide will remember a post I made on buying out dream shards pre 3.0.8 since they were going from almost no use at all to major components in many enchanting recipes.
And after 3.0.8 I was quick to make a post on why they initially were not doing amazing with the release of the patch.
On my server the shards are still fluctuating but they have finally risen to 18-20 gold (compared to when I purchased them at 9-15) and they will continue to rise as the demand for these items remains constant.
Icy Dragonscales are going to do the same thing. This relatively useless item will be a primary component in many upcoming trade skills with patch 3.1. I have been purchasing them since monday and will be stockpiling hundreds for resale.
Let's learn from dream shards, shall we?
There will be an initial rush of icy dragonscales going for 200-300% of the current price the day of the patch. This may last for an hour or even as long as eight hours before others catch on and the market floods back down to 1 gold per (the current cost) or less. You will want to be a part of this cash cow while it lasts. When the price drops to LESS THAN THE CURRENT VALUE you will want to buy them out.
Next, the price will remain flooded for a week and then slowly increase over the course of a month. You will want to post a small number (2-3 stacks) every day that you see them going for more than what you purchased them for. While flooded there will surely be amazing deals, snatch them as you see them.
There is a concern that I have with the icy dragonscales that did not exist with dream shards, however. Demand for these items will NOT be consistent. As raiders get more and more gear, the craftable items will become less necessary for raiders (think titansteel weapons/armor).
The big question remains, will the market rebound after the initial roller coaster on patch day, and will it happen in time for there to still be a large demand for the craftable items?
